Festivals of the area - June
Hogueras
de San Juan (23 June):
Throughout Cadiz province the festival of St John is celebrated
by parties on the beach parties in seaside towns, with bonfires,
fireworks and barbeques. On the night of 23 June you are encouraged
to leap over the beach bonfires (las hogueras) and dip your

– El Puerto, Chipiona, Rota, Cadiz or anywhere along
the coast.
